A4 Art Exhibition - Wednesday 9th December, 2009
In August residential students produced some amazing art at the Coconut Club silk screen workshop. On Wednesday 9th December some of their best paintings were showcased together with donated art from generous local and international artists.
All of the money made from sales on the A4 Art Exhibition fundraising event will be used to ensure the Foundation can continue to change the lives of children in Phuket.
A huge thank you to the artists who donated their work and to Wine Connection, Royal Eastern Beverage Company and Absolute Vodka who sponsored the drinks on the night.
ABBAtastic - Saturday 12th September, 2009
On 12th September a charity fundraiser was held at Les Anges for the Phuket Has Been Good For Us Foundation. Peter Webber from Les Anges provided spectacular entertainment and a fantastic smorgasbord buffet and 91.5FM great music for the guests at the event. The evening was opened by ABBATASTIC! joined by students from the Foundation's Coconut Club. 150 guests danced the night away to all their old favourites. Auction prizes included an all-expenses paid trip to London's West End to enjoy an evening of theatre, provided by Aussie music entrepreneur and PHBGTU board member, Michael Chugg and the Royal Garden Hotel, and an ABBA gold disk plaque provided by famed Australian deejay, Molly Meldrum, which alone raised an amazing 130.000 THB during the auction!
But the stars of the evening were the boys and 'girls' of the Boat Bar in Patong who, along with 'alluring' Les Anges proprietor, Peter Webber, paraded around the boardwalk serenading the throng with selections from the ABBA hit catalogue.
During the event over 500.000 THB was raised for the Foundation.
A huge thank you to our main sponsors Les Anges and 91.5FM for organizing such an ABBAtastic event.
