Pro-Am Invitational - Friday 17th June, 2011

On the 17th of June 2011 Phuket Property Dot Com held the 2nd annual Pro Am Invitational at Laguna Phuket Golf Club. Thirty touring golf professionals from around Asia made their way to Phuket to take part in what has been named Phuket’s number one golf day. PHBGTU Foundation is graciously named the beneficiary for this event.

"The turnout was fantastic. So many Pros gave up their time to take part in the charity Pro Am, and there was great support from the amateur golfers, which together made the whole event a huge success. We're really pleased how this, the second Phuket Property Dot Com Pro Am Invitational went, and everybody's efforts are appreciated," said Peter Bolton, Co-Founder of Phuket Property Dot Com and Title Sponsor of the event.

Variable conditions of glorious sunshine and gusting winds met the golfers which produced some challenging play and frustrated some golfers (Pros and amateurs alike). Prizes on every hole and drinks and snacks served around the course, however, made the day a lot of fun for all.

After a great day of golf, all the players came together for the Gala Dinner and evening of fun at the luxury B-Lay Tong Resort, and to raise money for the Phuket Has Been Good To Us Foundation. At the end of the night, THB1 million was raised to support the English language programmes for Thai children operated by the Phuket Has Been Good To Us Foundation.

Into The Big Blue - Saturday 7th May, 2011

The Foundation's major fundraising event of the year 2011 was the May Ball 'Into The Big Blue'. On Saturday 7th May in the Andaman Ballroom at the Sheraton Grande Laguna guests enjoyed free flow bar, canapes, a sumptuous four-course gala dinner and fabulous entertainment. Al Chappes piano tunes and Rihanna's great moves were some of the highlights of the night. Throughout the evening there were also fantastic auction and raffle prizes won. Overall, a great night in which PHBGTU Foundation raised over 2 million Baht, half of our annual expenses.
