Thank you to everyone who participated and supported the tournament and the fundraising efforts of the Foundation in our efforts to provide education to the Children of Phuket!

Pop Up 4 Wraps up

A Huge Success at Pop Up 4

March 17th saw the fabulous Pop Up 4!  And what a night it was!

We were thrilled to see so many people show up to our event and show such support for our fundraising events!  Thank you to everyone who joined us, and a huge thank you to all of the Chefs for the best food we’ve tasted all year!

In addition thank you to all our sponsors who helped set up such a gorgeous venue,  for those who helped create visibility, and for those selling tickets around the island!

Hope to see you all to our other amazing events throughout the year!

Kata Rocks Blog

We are so pleased to have been mentioned in the Kata Rocks Resort blog as they prepare to join us at our upcoming event Pop Up 4. The Kata Rocks team will be joining the event for their second year, and have been supportive of our foundation for many of the other events and activities we host as well!

The shout-out in the Kata Rocks blog featured not only what the event will entail for the Resort team who will be prepairing delicious food for guests to enjoy all night, but they also covered the very important aspect of why we hold events like Pop Up every year.  The blog discussed what our organization does as an English education foundation for underprivelleged Thai students on the island, and followed it up by mentioning this event will generate much of the needed funding to support the teaching and many activities we provide for the students living at the school.

Thank you for spreading the word and for sharing your enthusiasm for education!

Kata Sea Breeze Birthday

Birthday Party at Kata Sea Breeze

This February our Coconut Club students got to enjoy the first birthday party of the year, and what an amazing party it was! Students had lots of choices for things to do, from playing football, twister, balloon animals, volleyball, swimming, or just relaxing by the pool. Our generous hosts from Kata Sea Breeze were amazing as they played games with students, in addition to playing music, and serving everything from burgers to ice-cream, and the biggest cake we have ever seen!!

Thank you to Kata Sea Breeze for  hosting the wonderful party and all your hard work, as well as to all of our friends and supporters who have donated birthday gifts to make the day extra special!

Tottenham Football Practice

     Football Practice with Tottenham Hotspurs

This past week PHBGTU teamed up with the Tottenham Hotspurs to hold a special Football practice for all the dedicated players at the Kamala school! In spite of the sun and heat, we had approximately 40 students of all ages join to test their skills with guidance from the big-time coaches. Many of our students are exceptional players and they all received an extra boost of motivation from the super supportive Tottenhem Hotspurs team!

Our joint practice has been featured on the Tottenham hotspurs Official website!  Written to announce their wellness and motivational campaign throughout Asia, we are honoured to have been part of this fabulous day and for getting to experience a great movement in sports!

Thailand Tatler

Phuket Has Been Good To Us Featured in Thailand Tatler

Phuket Has Been Good To Us has been featured in the December Issue of the Thailand Tatler! The article features some of the amazing charitable organizations around Phuket, and is a testament to the hard work and dedication each charity is known for.  The article discusses the history of the island and provides a bit of context as to why the devloment industry was so vital to the area, and how the organizations have reversed the situation and improved the social situation for many of the local Thai people. A fabulous read for anyone interested in history, development, and charities!

PHBGTU would like to thank Bruce Stanley for writing such a lovely piece and for bringing attention to the cause, to Thailand Tatler for publishing it, and to the other charities mentioned for all the great work you do!
