December 2016: Media Coverage for Black Tie Muay Thai III

Our Black Tie Muay Thai III Fundraiser was another huge success. We raised over 800,000 THB which is enough to employ two qualified English Teachers for a year!

September 2016: Media Coverage for A Night at the Opera 2016

The third edition of A Night at the Opera was again held at Trisara Resort, with performances by FIVERA and Alex Grier. After a successful evening, we raised over 700,000 THB allowing us we can employ a qualified English Teacher and a Teaching fellow for a year.

May 2016: Kata Rocks brings ‘Negroni week’ to Phuket

Kata Rocks joined in the 4th annual Negroni week. During this week Negroni not only celebrates the classic cocktail but also raises money for charitable causes around the world. This year the team behind The Bar at Kata Rocks selected Phuket Has Been Good To Us as their charity of choice, donating a part from every Negroni sold.

May 2016: Media Coverage for Pop Up at Bliss 2

Pop Up at Bliss was yet another successful fundraising event for Phuket Has Been Good To Us! It was a fabulous evening with delicious food, lovely drinks, and great company. Over 250 people showed up to support the Foundation. We raised 1,000,000 Baht which will pay two qualified English language teachers for a year.

April 2016: Going the Extra Mile

Teacher Hamant is a Singaporean English teacher with the Phuket Has Been Good To Us Foundation, and in April 2016 he went the extra mile by raising funds for our Foundation. For 10 days drove his 110cc motorcycle all along the border of Thailand and raised over 80,000THB!

By doing so he didn’t only raise much-needed funds, but also awareness with articles in The Phuket News and Motor Culture Asia.
